What software does GENESIS work with?
It's an OpenFX plugin for DaVinci Resolve on Mac and Windows. For the cleanest experience I recommend the direct Blackmagic Design version of DaVinci Resolve Studio.
Is this a LUT or a PowerGrade?
Neither - it's a full plugin. Instead of loading a fixed look, GENESIS gives you live, adjustable controls across all twelve sections above - in one effect, on one node.
Will it work with my camera?
Built-in input for Rec.709 plus 12 log profiles: Apple Log, ARRI Log-C, Blackmagic Film, Canon C-Log, DJI D-Log, Fujifilm F-Log, Nikon N-Log, Panasonic V-Log, RED RedLogFilm, Sony S-Log2/3, and Insta360 I-Log. Already-converted footage? Use Bypass / Rec.709.
Do I need to be good at grading?
No - start from a built-in Look and you're 90% there. Every module can then be pushed, pulled, or switched off independently, so it grows with you.
Can I use it for commercial and client work?
Yes - personal, commercial, and client projects are all covered. You just can't resell, redistribute, or repackage the plugin itself.
How do I install it?
Download the ZIP, run the installer for your OS (Genesis Installer.pkg on Mac, GENESIS Setup Win64.exe on Windows), restart Resolve, and find it under Odyssey > GENESIS. A full README and tutorial link are included.
